Matrix Audio SS-1 Audio Grade Network Switch (Silver)
The Matrix Audio SS-1 Audio Grade Network Switch is purpose-built for high-resolution hi-fi streaming systems, delivering superior stability, lower noise, and improved timing accuracy compared to conventional Ethernet switches. Designed using high-speed digital circuit architecture, the SS-1 operates with a higher stability margin, reducing timing errors and ensuring cleaner, more reliable data transmission for network audio playback. It features dual 10Gbps SFP/SFP+ ports supporting optical fiber or RJ45 modules, enabling electrical isolation between network infrastructure and audio equipment to prevent ground noise and high-frequency interference. Multiple independent Ethernet ports, including 2.5Gbps outputs and dedicated 100Mbps low-speed ports, allow optimized connection speeds to minimize bit errors and improve signal integrity. Each port uses 10Gbps-grade transformers and fully shielded Ethernet sockets for enhanced resistance to RF noise. At its core, the SS-1 employs an ultra-low phase noise femtosecond clock to maintain precise timing. Additional refinements include switchable LED indicators, DC input for external linear power supplies, and a CNC-machined aluminum chassis with vibration-isolating feet, making the SS-1 a powerful foundation for serious audiophile streaming systems.
